Centenary of Red Cross Issued on May 8, 1963 (Showa 38)

Centenary of Red Cross Issued on May 8, 1963 (Showa 38) The Red Cross Covenant was enacted in 1863. However, at that time, the name Red Cross was not yet unified. However, as the size of the organization increased, a unified name became necessary, so it was proposed to make the Red Cross the official name of each country's relief company from 1867, and in the 1870s, each country's relief company became the Red Cross. The name was changed. The stamp is issued to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Red Cross Code, and is designed with a world map and the Red Cross 100th Anniversary Festival mark.
