若戸大橋開通 1962年（昭和37年） 9月26日発行 若土大橋は、北九州市若松区と戸畑区をまたぐ洞海湾に架けられた全長2キロ、幅15ｍの大吊橋である。この区間の交通近代化と、船舶の曳航混雑を緩和するために日本道路公団が建設し、1962年に開通した。郵政省はこの開通を記念して、若土大橋の全景をデザインした切手を発行した。
Completion of Wakato Bridge Issued on September 26, 1962 (Showa 37) Wakato Ohashi is a large suspension bridge with a total length of 2 km and a width of 15 m that spans Dokai Bay, which straddles Wakamatsu Ward and Tobata Ward in Kitakyushu City. It was constructed by the Japan Highway Public Corporation to modernize traffic in this section and alleviate the towing congestion of ships, and opened in 1962. In commemoration of this opening, the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications issued a stamp designing a panoramic view of Wakato Ohashi.
