第16回国民体育大会 1961年（昭和36年）10月8日発行
郵政省は、1961年10月、第16回国民体育大会を記念して２種の切手を発行した。
この国民体育大会は、秋田県を中心に開催されたが、その当時、秋田県内では選手・役員に対して十分な宿泊施設を確保することができず、関係者約7,000名に一般家庭に宿泊してもらう「民泊」を導入した。その際、温かい「おもてなし」が発揮され、「民泊国体」または「まごころ国体」として高く評価された。切手は、鉄棒と漕艇がデザインされている。
