日本標準時制定75年 1961年（昭和36年）7月12日発行 郵政省は、日本標準時の制定75年を記念して、太陽と日本標準時子午線をデザインした切手を発行した。日本標準時（?Japan Standard Time＝JST）は、国立研究開発法人情報通信研究機構の原子時計で生成・供給される協定世界時間（UTC）を9時間（東経135度の時差）進めた時刻を日本の標準時としたものである。
Japan Standard Time Issued on July 12, 1961 (Showa 36) Japan Standard Time (JST) is the time when Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) is advanced by 9 hours (time difference equivalent to 135 degrees east longitude). The Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications issued a stamp designing the "Sun and Japan Standard Time Meridian" to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of Japan Standard Time.
