郵便９０年 1961年（昭和36年）4月20日発行 1961年は、日本の郵便制度創始から90年にあたる。郵政省はこれを記念して前島密1円切手に封書料金10円を加刷した切手を発行した。郵便制度の記念切手は1921年に50周年記念切手が発行され、1946年に同75年記念切手、そして、1951年には同80年記念切手が発行されている。
90th Anniv. of Postal Services Issued on April 20, 1961 (Showa 36)
1961 marks the 90th anniversary of the founding of Japan's postal system.
In commemoration of this, the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications issued a stamp with a 10-yen envelope stamp printed on the founder Maejima Hisoka 1-yen stamp. As for the commemorative stamps for the founding of the postal system, the 50th anniversary stamp was issued in 1921, the 75th anniversary stamp was issued in 1946, and the 80th anniversary stamp was issued in 1951.
