Flower Series Issued on 1 30, 1960 (Showa 35) ~ 12 1, 1960 (Showa35) In 1961, the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications decided to issue stamps designed with seasonal flowers as one of the 90th anniversary commemorative projects of Japan's postal service. A total of 12 species were issued, starting with "Narcissus flowers" in January and ending with Sasanqua in December. This stamp was beautifully printed in four-color gravure and had excellent botanical evidence, so it became popular not only in Japan but also around the world.Since then, the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications has issued "series stamps" of Japanese culture and nature every year.
