第１５回国民体育大会 1960年（昭和35年） 10月23日発行 1960年10月、第15回国民体育大会が熊本県を中心に開催された。この大会は、1964年に開催される東京オリンピックの選手強化が強く叫ばれた。またこれ以降、国体の開催は都道府県の持ち回りとなった。切手は剣道と跳馬がデザインされている。
15th National Athletic Meet Issued on October 23, 1960 (Showa 35) In October 1960, the 15th National Athletic Meet was held mainly in Kumamoto Prefecture.At this tournament, there was a strong call for strengthening athletes at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics. Since then, the National Athletic meet has been held by each prefecture. The stamps are designed for kendo and vaulting.
