25th Anniv. of Radio Japan Issued on June 1, 1960 (Showa 35) Radio broadcasting for overseas in Japan started in June 1935 (Showa 10). Then, in September 1945, Japan's overseas broadcast was stopped by the order of the Supreme Commander for the Allied Powers (GHQ).When the Broadcasting Law came into effect in 1950, the Japan Broadcasting Corporation (NHK) re-established itself, and in February 1952, it resumed overseas radio broadcasting as "Radio Japan". The stamp was issued to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the start of overseas radio broadcasting, and the radio waves surrounding the earth are designed.
