国際鳥類保護会議 1960年（昭和35年）5月24日発行
1960年5月、第12回「国際鳥類保護会議」(International Council for Bird Preservation)が東京で開催された。同会議は、野生鳥類の保護を目的とした国際組織である。1922年に発足し、1993年、バードライフインターナショナル（Birdlife International）と改称した。日本での活動は、「日本野鳥の会」が行っている。
切手は、同会議東京開催を記念して発行され、天然記念物「とき」がデザインされている。
Congress of Bird Preservation Issued on May 24, 1960 (Showa 35) In May 1960, the 12th International Council for Bird Preservation was held in Tokyo. The conference is an international organization aimed at protecting wild birds. Established in 1922. TwiceIn 1993, the name was changed to Birdlife International. Activities in Japan are carried out by the Wild Bird Society of Japan.The stamp was issued to commemorate the conference in Tokyo, and the natural monument "Toki=Wild bird crested ibis"was designed.
