奈良遷都 1250年記念 1960年（昭和35年）3月10日発行
平城京（へいじょうきょう）は、奈良時代（710年～784年）の首都である。中国の唐の長安城を模倣して建造された都であり、現在の奈良市の西部及び大和郡山市に位置し、約４．３平方キロメートルで、72に区画されていた。中央に大内裏、中央を南北に走る朱雀大路によって左京・右京に二分され、碁 盤の目のように整然と区画されていた。
切手は、奈良遷都1250年を記念して発行され、「正倉院」と鹿がデザインされている。

Heijokyo was the capital of the Nara period (710-784). It is a city built to imitate Chang'an Castle in Tang, China. It is located in the current Nara City and Yamatokoriyama City, and has an area of about 4.3 km2 and is divided into 72 areas.
Dai Dai-ri (castle) in the center, and the passage was divided into Sakyo and Ukyoby Suzaku Avenue running north and south in the center, and it was neatly divided like a Chess-Boad.The stamp was issued in commemoration of the 1250th anniversary of the transfer of capital to Nara, and is designed with "Shosoin" (treasure storehouse) and a deer.
