国際航空輸送協会総会 1959年（昭和34年）10月12日発行 国際航空輸送協会（IATA）は、世界の航空輸送業者が組織した国際団体で、安全、確実かつ経済的な航空運送の発達推進などを目的としている。現在の組織は1945年4月、36か国の航空会社により設立されたものである。日本は日本航空が1954年2月に正会員となった。切手は、1959年、本協会総会開催を記念して発行された。デザインはIATAマークと丹頂鶴である。
15th I.A.T.A General Meeting Issued on March 25, 1953 (Showa 28) The International Air Transport Association (IATA) is an international organization organized by air carriers around the world, with the aim of promoting the development of safe, reliable and economical air transport. The current organization was established in April 1945 by airlines in 36 countries. Japan Airlines became regular members in February 1954.The stamp was issued in 1959 to commemorate the general meeting of the Association. The design is the IATA mark and the red-crowned crane.
