自然公園法とは「優れた自然の風景地を保護するとともに、その利用の、国民の休養、生物の多様性の確保に寄与することを目的として定められた法律である。2010年（平成22年）4月時点で、国立公園29ヶ所、国定公園は56ヶ所、都道府県立自然公園は312ヶ所指定されており、面積の合計は日本の国土の約14%を占める。
切手は本栖湖と富士山がデザインされている。

The Natural Parks Act is a law aimed at protecting excellent natural landscapes and contributing to the rest of the people and the securing of biodiversity for their use. As of April 2010, There are 29 national parks, 56 Quasi-National Parks, and 312 Prefectural Natural Parks, and the total area occupies about 14% of Japan's land area.
The stamps are designed by Lake Motosu and Mt. Fuji.
