赤十字思想誕生100年記念 1959年（昭和34年） 6月 5日発行
創始者アンリー・デュナンが1859年に唱えた赤十字思想（傷ついた人々を敵味方の区別なく救うこと）は、赤十字国際委員会（ICRC）、国際赤十字・赤新月社連盟(IFRC)、そして各国の赤十字社、赤新月社の3つの機関によって受け継がれている。この3つの機関が、赤十字運動を構成している。
切手は、赤十字思想100年を記念して発行され、看護師の活動がデザインされている。

The Red Cross idea (saving injured people regardless of enemy or ally) advocated by the founder Henry Dunant in 1859 is the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), and each country. It has been inherited by three organizations, the Red Cross and the Red Crescent. These three institutions make up the Red Cross movement.
Stamps are issued to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Red Cross Thought and are designed for the activities of nurses.
