児島湾堤防竣工 1959年（昭和34年） 2月 1日発行 児島湾締切堤防は、岡山県岡山港から郡地区を結ぶ堤防である。干拓地の水不足、塩害、浸水などの問題を、湾内に流入する河川の河口域を淡水湖とすることによって解決するために1951年に着工し、1959年に完成した。切手は、干拓地の地図とトラクターがデザインされている。

The Kojima Bay Closed Embankment is an embankment that connects Okayama Port in Okayama Prefecture to the county district. Construction began in 1951 and completed in 1959 to solve problems such as water shortages, salt damage, and inundation of reclaimed land by making the estuary of the river that flows into the bay a freshwater lake.
The stamp is designed with a map of the reclaimed land and a tractor.
