世界人権宣言10年 1958年（昭和33年） 12月 10日発行
世界人権宣言は1948年に国際連合によって定められた。「あらゆる人が誰にも侵されることのない人間としての権利を生まれながらに持っている」と表明した宣言である。 その権利を、誰でも、どこでも、いつでも享受できるために、すべての国、すべての人が守らなければならない、最低限の共通基準としている。
切手は、世界人権宣言10周年を記念して発行され、人権を表す「炎」がデザインされている。
Declaration of Human Rights Issued on December 10, 1958 (Showa 33) The Universal Declaration of Human Rights was established by the United Nations in 1948. It is a declaration that "everyone has a natural right as a human being that is not invaded by anyone."That right is the minimum common standard that every country and everybody must protect in order to be able to enjoy it anytime, anywhere. Stamps are issued to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and are designed with a "flame" that represents human rights.
