第13国民体育大会 1958年（昭和33年） 10月 19日発行 第13回国民体育大会は、富山県を中心に岩手県、北海道などで開催された。この大会の特色は、選手のために民泊（営利主義ではなく、地元の人々の純粋なボランティア活動）で、心のこもった食事や宿泊場所を提供したことである。この事は、参加選手たちに大きな感銘を与えて、一躍有名となった。切手は、バドミントンと重量挙げがデザインされている。
13th National Athletic Meet Issued on October 19, 1958 (Showa 33) The 13th National Athletic Meet was held mainly in Toyama prefecture, Iwate prefecture, Hokkaido and so on.The tournament is characterized by providing a hearty meal and accommodation for athletes in a private lodging (not a commercial principle, but a pure volunteer activity of the locals). This made a big impression on the participating players and became famous.The stamps are designed with badminton and weightlifting.
