国際文通週間 1958年（昭和33年） 10月 5日発行
国際文通週間は、世界の人々が文通によって互に理解を深め、世界平和に貢献する目的の郵便キャンペーンである。UPU(万国郵便連合)結成記念日の10月9日を含む１週間をその期間としている。 日本は、この年から国際文通週間切手を発行開始し、その後、毎年発行している。
切手は、江戸時代の浮世絵師安藤広重の東海道五十三次「京師」がデザインされている。

International Letter Writing Week is postal campaign aimed at helping people around the world deepen mutual understanding and contribute to world peace. The period is one week including October 9th, which is the anniversary of the formation of the UPU (Universal Postal Union).Japan began issuing "International Letter Writing Week" stamps from this year, and has issued them every year since then.
The stamp is esigned with "Kei-shi(Kyoto)" by Hiroshige Ando, an ukiyo-e artist who was active in Edo period.
