3rd Asian Games Issued on May 24, 1958 (Showa 33) In May 1958, the 3rd Asian Games was held. This tournament was aimed at hosting the 1964 Tokyo Olympics. The IOC Session was held before this tournament, and it was decided that the Tokyo Olympic Games would be held at the IOC Session the following year. Around this time, Japan's postwar social infrastructure was rapidly restored and improved, and the phrase "no longer after the war" was coined.
Four kinds of stamps are issued, and the national stadium, the torch and tournament mark, the runner, and the diving competition are designed.
