切手趣味週間「雨傘」1958 （昭和33年） 4月20日発行
郵政省は、1958年11月、「切手趣味週間記念」切手を発行した。原画作者の「浮世絵師」鳥居清長（とりいきよなが-1781～1789）は、江戸時代の代表的な美人画の浮世絵師で、切手のデザインに採用された「雨中湯帰り（女性が雨の中を公衆浴場から帰る姿）は、この切手の発行によって一躍有名となった。
因みに、この切手発行の少し前から日本は第1次切手ブームが起こり、この切手も郵便局に多くの購入希望者が並ぶ事態が予想された。そのため、郵政省は発行数を1000万枚から2100万枚に増刷した。その結果、この頃発行された切手はほぼ値上がりせず、切手投機者の見込みは外れた。

In November 1958, the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications issued a "Stamp
Hobby Week Commemorative" stamp.
The original author "Ukiyo-e artist" Kiyonaga Torii (1781-1789) is a representative ukiyo-e artist of the Edo period. The "woman returning from the public bath in the rain" adopted in the design of the stamp became famous by issuance of this stamp.
By the way, shortly before issuance of this stamp, the first stamp boom occurred in Japan, and it was expected that many people who would like to purchase stamp would line up at the post office. Therefore, the Ministry of Posts and Telecom.has reprinted the number of issues from 10 million to 21 million.As a result, the prices of stamps issued around this time did not rise, and speculators were disappointed.
