日本機械巡航見本市 1956年（昭和31年） 12月 18日発行 第二次世界大戦後、日本産業が復興し1950年代に機械工業の近代化や量産体制が整う中で、日本機械輸出組合が「巡回見本市船」構想を立案。1956年政府援助で船で主要国を巡行する「日本機械巡航見本市」（Japan Machinery Floating Fair）を開催した。切手は、見本市船「日昌丸」と、真空管・歯車がデザインされている。

After World War II, with the reconstruction of the Japanese industry, the machine industry was modernized and mass-produced in the 1950s. Therefore, the Japan Machinery Export Association devised a "cruise trade fair ship" concept. In 1956, with the assistance of the government, the "Japan Machinery Floating Fair" was held to tour major countries by ship.
The stamps are designed with the trade fair ship "Nissho Maru" and vacuum tubes and gears.
