Japan Machinery Floating Fair
Issued on December 18, 1956 (Showa 31)

Japan Machinery Floating Fair Issued on December 18, 1956 (Showa 31) After World War II, with the reconstruction of the Japanese industry, the machine industry was modernized and mass-produced in the 1950s. Therefore, the Japan Machinery Export Association devised a "cruise trade fair ship" concept. In 1956, with the assistance of the government, the "Japan Machinery Floating Fair" was held to tour major countries by ship.
The stamps are designed with the trade fair ship "Nissho Maru" and vacuum tubes and gears.
