観光地百選シリーズ 1 1951年(昭和26年)2月15日 ～ 1953年(昭和28年)5月3日発行 1951年（昭和26年）2月から1953年（昭和28年）5月の間、郵政省は毎日新聞が主催した観光地 1００選の中から１０か所選択して８円（国内封書用）と２４円（海外用）を発行した。終戦後数年たった日本は、現在の観光促進の先駆けとして観光立国を目指した時期があった。その後の日本は経済発展に注力して経済大国に成長した後、20世紀終盤から再び観光国としての道を歩む事になった。
Tourist Promotion Series 1 Issued on 2, 15, 1951 (Showa 26)～5, 3, 1953(Showa 28) From February 1951 (Showa 26) to May 1953 (Showa 28) The Ministry of Posts and elecommunications has selected 10 of the 100 tourist destinations sponsored by Mainichi Newspaper. The Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications issued 8yen stamps for domestic use and 24yen stamps for overseas use to introduce the 10 tourist destinations.A few years after the end of the war, Japan had a time when it aimed to become a full-fledged tourism nation as a pioneer in promoting tourism today. After that, Japan focused on economic development and grew into an economic powerhouse, and fromthe end of the 20th century, it began to regain its path as a tourist country.
