80th Anniv. of the Postal Services Issued on April 14, 1951 (Showa 26) In April 1951 (Showa 26), the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications issued small sheet commemorating the 80th anniversary of the founding of the postal service. This follows the issuance of postage stamps commemorating the 75th anniversary of the founding of the postal service five years ago.
As for the design, four Maejima Hisoka 1-yen stamps were arranged.This stamp was issued for "Postal Week" and should fall into the same category as MikaeriBijin and TUKI-NI-KARI, but is treated as a general commemorative stamp by the customs of the collecting world.
