5th National Athletic Meet Issued on October 28, 1950 (Showa 25) In October 1950 (Showa 25), the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications issued four types of stamps to commemorate the 5th National Athletic Meet held mainly in Aichi Prefecture.　For the past two years, stamps for the National Sports Festival have been issued several times a year for each seasonal competition, but from this time on, the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications has issued only one stamp to prevent outbreaks under the guidance of GHQ.　From this year, the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications suppressed outbreak of commemorative stamps under the direction of GHQ, so the number of commemorative special stamps issued was extremely low, and in 1950, the number of stamps issued was almost 10 including parks and New Year stamps.
