第4回国民体育大会記念 1949年（昭和24年）9月15日・10月30日発行 第4回国民体育大会は、1949年（昭和24年）1月の長野冬季大会に続いて同年9月に水泳大会、同じく10月に陸上大会が開催された。この年、国民体育大会切手は冬（スケート/スキージャンプ）夏（水泳）、秋（陸上）の3回に分けて発行された。郵政省はそれぞれの大会を記念して切手を発行した。
4th National Athletic Meet Issued on September 15(Swimming) and October 30, 1949 (Showa 24)
The 4th National Athletic Meet was held in September 1949 (Showa 24), followed by the Nagano Winter Games, a swimming competition in September of the same year, and an athletics competition in October.This year, the stamps for the National Sports Festival were issued in three parts: winter (skating and Skijump), summer (swimming), and autumn (Athletics).
The Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications issued stamps to commemorate each tournament.
