広島平和都市 1949年(昭和24年)8月6日発行 1949年(昭和24年)8月、逓信省は広島平和記念都市建設法施行に鑑み、原爆投下から4年を迎える日に合わせて記念切手を発行した。図案は、薔薇を手にする女性を描いたもので、戦後濫発された博覧会関連小型シートなどとは基本的に異なり、世界唯一の被爆国(被爆地は広島と長崎)日本の平和と繁栄を祈る目的で発行の意義と重要性が高い。
