教育勅語50年記念 1940年（昭和15年）10月25日発行 1940年（昭和15年）10月は、教育勅語が発布されてから50年にあたり、これを記念して2種の切手が発行された。「教育勅語」は、明治維新以降、西洋文化を積極的に取り入れることに対して、古来の日本式道徳や礼儀を護る事を目的として政府が国民に普及させたものである。
50th Anniversary of the Issuance of "Educational Charter"

In October 1940 (Showa 15), it was 50 years since the "Educational Charter" was promulgated, and two kinds of stamps were issued to commemorate this. The “Educational Charter” was introduced by the government to the people for the purpose of protecting ancient Japanese morals and etiquette against the active adoption of Western culture since the Meiji Restoration.
