赤十字条約成立75年記念 1939年（昭和14年）11月5日発行 赤十字事業は1863年に始められ、1864年には「赤十字条約」が締結された。1939年（昭和14）は赤十字条約締結から75年になるので、国際赤十字委員会は同年11月15日を「赤十字デー」と定めた。逓信省はこれを記念して4種の切手を発行した。デザインは,日本赤十字創始者「佐野常民（さのつねたみ）」と、「赤十字と地球」である。
75th anniversary of the establishment of the Red Cross Treaty

The Red Cross project was started in 1863, and in 1864 the "Red Cross Treaty" was signed. 1939 (Showa 14) is 75 years since the conclusion of the Red Cross Treaty. Therefore, the International Red Cross Committee has designated November 15 of the same year as "Red Cross Day".The Ministry of Communications issued four kinds of stamps in commemoration of this.The designs are the Japanese Red Cross founder, Tsunetami Sano, and the Red Cross and the Earth.
