世界大戦平和記念 1919年（大正8年）7月1日発行 １９１８年（大正７年）の第１次世界大戦終結に伴い、ドイツの降伏で日本は連合国に属して青島攻撃、陥落等の功績により、１９１９年（大正８年） 日本はベルサイユ条約でドイツから南洋諸島の信託統治権を承継した。この戦勝を記念して逓信省は４種類の「平和切手」を発行した。

Japan belonged to the Allies during World War I from 1914 to 1918. Japanese troops attacked and caused the German fortress Qingdao to fall. Due to this achievement, Japan took over the trusteeship of the South Sea Islands from Germany under the Treaty of Versailles in 1919.
To commemorate the victory of this war, the Ministry of Communications issued four types of "peace stamps."
