Restoration of WWI Peace Issued on July 1, 1919 (Taisho8)

Restoration of WWI Peace Issued on July 1, 1919 (Taisho8) Japan belonged to the Allies during World War I from 1914 to 1918. Japanese troops attacked and caused the German fortress Qingdao to fall. Due to this achievement, Japan took over the trusteeship of the South Sea Islands from Germany under the Treaty of Versailles in 1919.
To commemorate the victory of this war, the Ministry of Communications issued four types of "peace stamps."
