日本生物教育会沖縄大会 1959（昭和34年） 7月 23日発行 日本生物教育会は、昭和初期、嘉納治五郎（当時東京高等師範学校長）を始めとする生物学会諸氏によって創立された「全国中学校博物教育会」を、1946年（昭和21）に継承して発足した。 1959年（昭和34）7月、沖縄大会を那覇首里高校で開催した。切手はそれを記念して発行され、沖縄の蝶「ヨナグニサン」がデザインされている。

The Society of Biological Sciences of Japan inherited the "National Junior High School Museum Education Society" founded by Jigoro Kano (then head of Tokyo Higher Normal School) and other members of the Society of Biological Sciences in 1946 (Showa 21). It was launched. In July 1959 (Showa 34), the Okinawa tournament was held at Naha Shuri High School. The stamp was issued in commemoration of that, and the Okinawa butterfly "Yonagunisan" was designed.
