琉球大学10年 1960（昭和35年） 5月 22日発行 1945年（昭和20）、沖縄はアメリカ合衆国による統治下に置かれ、1947年（昭和22）に義務教育六・三制を実施、同年、琉球列島米国軍政府教育部は沖縄民政府に対して、1948年（昭和23）にジュニアカレッジ設立を指令。1950年（昭和25年）に琉球大学が創立された。切手は、琉球大学創立10周年を記念して発行され、琉球大学のバッチと、1950-1960の文字がデザインされている。
10th Anniv. of Ryukyu Univ. Issued on May 22, 1960 (Showa35) In 1945 (Showa 20), Okinawa was placed under the rule of the United States, and in 1947 (Showa 22), the compulsory education 6/3 system was implemented. Ordered the establishment of a junior college in 1948 (Showa 23). The University of the Ryukyus was founded in 1950 (Showa 25). The stamp is issued to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the University of the Ryukyus, and is designed with the University of the Ryukyus batch and the characters 1950-1960.
