国勢調査 1960（昭和35年） 12月 1日発行 戦後の沖縄の国勢調査は、1950年に開始され、1960年には10年に一度の本調査が実施された。その後、1970年に再実施された後に日本に移管された。1960年当時の沖縄の人口は、約88万人で、現在の約143万人と比較して約55万人増加している。切手は、この調査を記念して発行され「オオサギと旭日」がデザインされている。
National Census Issued on Dec. 1, 1960 (Showa35) The postwar Okinawa census began in 1950, and in 1960 the main census was conducted once every 10 years. After that, it was re-implemented in 1970 and then transferred to Japan. The population of Okinawa in 1960 was about 880,000, an increase of about 550,000 from the current 1.43 million. The stamp was issued in commemoration of this survey and is designed with "Osagi Bird and Morning Sunshine".
