Opening of Shioya Bridge Issued on Jun. 5, 1963 (Showa38) "The Shioya Bridge (first generation) over Shioya Bay in Ogimi Village was completed in 1963. This bridge was a red arched Langer Bridge connecting Miyagi Island and Shioya in Shioya Bay. This bridge was a symbol of Shioya Bay, but it has deteriorated and has closed its curtain on 36 years of history. The current Shioya Ohashi was completed in 1999. Stamps are issued to commemorate the completion of Shioya Bridge. The whole view of Shioyabashi is designed.
