Philatelic Week Issued on Jul. 1, 1964 (Showa39) Okinawa Stamps Hobby Weekly stamps are often designed with traditional Ryukyu crafts, and in 1964, the Okinawan traditional craft obi "Mincer obi" was designed. Minsah means "a narrow sir belt woven with cotton (min)". The minsaa obi is a combination of the simplest five-ball and four-ball Kasuri patterns, and is sent to loved ones by the daughters of the island with the thought that "the world will last forever." It is said that it is a band.
