10th Anniv. of Ryukyu Girl Scout Issued on Aug. 31, 1964 (Showa39) Girl Scouts is a girl training organization founded by Juliette Gordon of the United States in 1912 after the inauguration of Boy Scouts. After that, it spread rapidly to the whole world, and in 1928, the "Girl Guides and Girl Scouts World Federation (WAGGGS)" was formed. Girl Scouts of Okinawa was established in 1954 (Showa 29), and 16 groups are currently engaged in social activities such as marine environment protection. Stamps are issued to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the inauguration, and are designed with the tournament flag and girls' members.1500 stamps are distributed with Spacimen overprints.
