10th Anniv. of Ryukyu Boy Scouts Issued on Feb.5, 1965 (Showa40) The Japanese Boy Scouts became a member of the world by officially joining the Boy Scout International Secretariat when the "Scout Association of Japan" was established on April 13, 1922 (Taisho 11). The Okinawan Boy Scout was founded in 1955 (Showa 30). Currently Okinawa's marine resource conservation and other societiesActive in activities. Stamps are issued to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the founding, and are designed with Boy Scouts and Shureimon. 1500 stamps were distributed.
