Shinkin Oyori is a large tray with a lid unique to Ryukyu, and has six legs that are curved in an S shape with a hemispherical lid, and is characterized by a shape not found in Japanese or Chinese lacquerware. There are only 3 works in existence. It is known that this lacquer ware was used in the royal government as a ritual tool for the royal family of Ryukyu, and it is the key to elucidate the Ryukyu culture from the early modern period to the present day.
