20th Anniv. of the UNESCO Issued on Sept.20, 1966 (Showa41)

20th Anniv. of the UNESCO Issued on Sept. 20, 1966 (Showa41) UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) was established in November 1945 as a specialized agency of the United Nations. It was founded with the hope that humankind will never make a mistake in the wake of the reflection on World War II, which caused the tragedy of Hiroshima, Nagasaki, Auschwitz, etc. The Ryukyu government has issued stamps commemorating the 20th anniversary of UNESCO's founding in order to promote peacekeeping in order not to forget the tragedy of the Battle of Okinawa. The design is a tiled roof and the United Nations mark. A stamp was issued to commemorate this in mainland Japan. Reference: Free encyclopedia "Wikipedia" 2022.3
