切手趣味週間 1967（昭和42年） 4月 20日発行 沖縄の切手趣味週間切手は、古代琉球王国時代の工芸品や美術品が多く取り上げられている。今回は、「厨子瓶」が採用された。厨子甕（ずしがめ、沖縄：ジーシガーミ）は、沖縄県を中心とした南西諸島地域に見られる骨壺である。沖縄では、古来より死者を崖下や洞窟に運んで風葬にする風習があった。これがのちに風葬後に洗骨と呼ばれる遺体の骨を洗って、遺骨を蔵骨器に納める風習へと発展する。戦後は、火葬の普及とともに、本来の蔵骨器（骨壺）としての需要は減少傾向にある。 参考；フリー百科事典『ウィキペディア（Wikipedia）』2022.3
