Opening of UHF Circuit System Issued on Jul. 1, 1969 (Showa44) In July 1969 (Showa 44), the Okinawa Broadcasting Corporation (OHK) installed a relay station to connect the UHF line to areas where reception from the Naha main station was difficult. The UHF line is a communication line that connects the southern part of the main island of Okinawa to Ishigaki Island via Miyako Island, and adopted UHF radio waves in the 2,000 MHz band.
