Philatelic Week Issued on Apr. 15, 1970 (Showa45) Okinawa Stamps Hobby Week stamps feature many crafts and works of art from the ancient Ryukyu Kingdom era. This time, "Yashi Sho" * was adopted. Yashiko is a portable sake jar in Okinawa, which was used by hanging it on the waist during the Qingming Festival. The hollowed out coconut has a tin inlet and is edging with wisteria strings.
