組踊りシリーズ 1970年（昭和45年）発行 組踊は、沖縄の楽劇で、1719年に初演された。当時の琉球王国の玉城朝燻（たまぐすく・ちょうくん）が日本の伝統芸能の能・狂言・歌舞伎・浄瑠璃に感銘を受けて、沖縄の風土に合った素朴な芸能を創出した。切手は、代表的な組踊4種が採用され、同時に小型シートが発行された。 参考：『日本切手専門カタログ日本関連地域編』2012 P45
Group Dance Series Issued on 1970 (Showa45) Kumi Odori is an Okinawan drama that premiered in 1719. Tamagusuku Chokun of the Ryukyu Kingdom at that time was impressed by the traditional Japanese performing arts, Kyogen, Kabuki, and Joruri, and created a simple performing art that suits the climate of Okinawa.
