Occupation stamps 3 (Mengjiang 2 commemoration)
Issued 19434-4-1944.12.
Since the Sino-Japanese War and the Russo-Japanese War, Japan has stationed a wide range of armies in mainland China. The Manchurian Incident occurred in September 1931, and Manchuria was founded in 1932, and Manchurian stamps were issued.
Then, in July 1937, the Marco Polo Bridge Incident broke out, and the occupied areas of the Japanese army expanded to North China, Central China, and South China. Since July 1941, Japan has issued definitive stamps and commemorative stamps with characters such as North China, South China, Shandong, and Mengjiang printed on Chinese stamps through the local puppet government. These overprint stamps lost their effect due to the defeat of Japan in August 1945 (Showa 20). * Osamu Imai "100 Years of Japanese Stamps" Nihon Yushu Shuppan 1978 P155-166 Reference
