Occupation stamps 17 (Malay 2) Issued from 1943-1944 In February 1942, after the fall of Singapore, the Malai Military Administration was established. Immediately after that, the postal service was started, and a stamp of "MARAI- GUNSEIBU-YUSEIKYOKUIN”≒‟Post Office Stamp of the Marai Military Affairs Department" was handmade for the purpose of unified use throughout Malai, and it was distributed to each state of Malai by stamping it on a local stamp. These stamps were stamped and distributed on a significant number of local stamps until the full-print stamps were issued in April 1943. These stamps became ineffective at the end of the war in August 1945. * Osamu Imai, "100 Years of Japanese Stamps", Nihon Yushu Shuppan, 1978, P168-169 Reference
