日本標準時制定100年 1986年（昭和61年） 7月 11日発行
日本標準時（Japan Standard Time：JST）は、国立研究開発法人情報通信研究機構の原子時計で生成・供給される協定世界時（UTC）を9時間（東経135度分の時差）進めた時刻（UTC+9）をもって、日本における標準時としたもので,1886年に制定された。
切手は、制定100年を記念して発行され、「標準時子午線と時計」がデザインされている。

Japan Standard Time (JST) is the time (UTC) that advances the Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) generated and supplied by the atomic clock of the National Research and Development Corporation Information and Communication Research Organization by 9 hours (time difference of 135 degrees east longitude). +9) is the standard time in Japan, which was established in 1886.
The stamp was issued to commemorate the 100th anniversary of its enactment, and designed with the "Standard Time Meridian and Clock".
