天皇陛下御在位六十年 1986年（昭和61年） 4月 28日発行
1901年4月に誕生した昭和天皇は、1926年12月に即位し、1986年4月に在位60年を迎えた。
昭和天皇は、戦前は日本国の総帥として、また、戦後は象徴として、歴史的に重要な地位にあり、激動の時代を生きてきた。切手は、昭和天皇の在位62年を記念して2種発行され、「京都御所と鳳凰」「宮殿の胸飾りと菊花紋章」がデザインされている。

Emperor Showa, who was born in April 1901, took the throne in December 1926.In April 1986, Emperor Showa celebrated his 60th anniversary. Emperor Showa has been in a historically important position as a general commander of Japan before the war and as a symbol after the war, and has lived in a turbulent era.
Two types of stamps have been issued to commemorate the 60th anniversary of Emperor Showa's reign, and are designed with "Kyoto Imperial Palace and Phoenix" and "Palace Chest Ornament and Chrysanthemum Flower Crest".
