Japanese Island Clean up Campaign Issued on June 13, 1983 (Showa 58)

Japanese Island Clean up Campaign Issued on June 13, 1983 (Showa 58) The Japanese Islands Cleanup Movement started in 1983 as a project to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the "Small Kindness" movement. Under the slogan of "Beautiful Japan, Beautiful Heart", we are conducting cleaning activities nationwide to foster a mind that does not throw away garbage by picking up garbage. However, the streets of Japan are lined with utility poles, which is detrimental to the landscape. Promotion of underground undergrounding of electric wires has become an important issue for the government and local governments in the future.
The stamp is designed as a "rabbit cleaning empty cans".
