第34回国民体育大会 1979年（昭和54年）10月13日発行 第34回国民体育大会は、1979年に宮崎県総合運動公園をメイン会場として開催された国民体育大会である。テーマは「日本のふるさと宮崎国体」、スローガンは、「伸びる心、伸びる力、伸びる郷土」。切手はこの大会を記念して発行され、長距離ランナーとフェニックスがデザインされている。

The 34th "National Athletic Meet" was held in 1979 with Miyazaki Prefectural Sports Park as the main venue. The theme is "Japan's hometown Miyazaki National Athletic Meet" and the slogan is "Growing heart, growing power, growing hometown".
Stamps were issued to commemorate the tournament and are designed with longdistance runners and phoenix.
