おまわりさん誕生100年 1974年（昭和49年） 6月 17日発行 東京警視庁が設置された1874年に巡査（おまわりさん）が誕生し、東京の「交番所」に配置された。巡査は、交代で交番まで行き、そこで立番等の活動を行った。切手は巡査誕生100年を記念して発行され、梅堂国政画「立見役服出世鏡」がデザインされている。

A police officer was born in 1874, when the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department was established, and was placed in a police box in Tokyo. The police officer took turns going to the police box, where he carried out activities such as standing.
The stamp was issued in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the policeman's birth, and the Umedo national politics painting "Tachimi role clothing career mirror" is designed.
