議会開設80年 1970年（昭和45年） 11月 29日発行 1890年（明治23年）11月、、日本では大日本帝国憲法発布を受けて初の「帝国議会」が開かれた。国会議事堂は、議会開催の直前に完成したがその後焼失した。現在の国会議事堂は、1936年11月に完成した。切手は議会開設80周年を記念して発行され、ハトと国会議事堂がデザインされている。
80th Anniversary of Parliament Issued on 11 29, 1970 (Showa 45) In November 1890 (Meiji 23), the first "Imperial Diet" was held in Japan following the promulgation of the Constitution of the Empire of Japan. The Parliament building was completed shortly before the parliament was held, but was burnt down thereafter. The current Parliament building was completed in November 1936. The stamp is issued to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the opening of the parliament, and the pigeon and the parliament building are designed.
