25th Anniv. of Maritime Day Issued on July 20, 1965 (Showa 40) In July 1995, Marine Day was enacted. Marine Day is one of the holidays in Japan. It was originally enacted on July 20, but it became the third Monday of July due to the Happy Monday system of the Holiday Law revised in 2003. Stamps are issued to commemorate the enactment, and designed by Meijimaru and Black-tailed Gull.
